About Me:
I am a high school valedictorian, an upcoming student at Lafayette College, currently taking a gap year with Global Citizen Academy, who believes that the power of never giving up is the only thing that can bring miracles in life. I love to solve problems, both on paper and in real life. National math runner-up, a worldwide awarded innovator, and Sustainable Development Goals’ enthusiast working with life-changing organizations such as the Global Changemakers, Zindi Africa, Oxfam, and Take Action Global. Keynote speaker at the Global Spotlight Summit, part of the World Scholar’s Cup debate champion team, and 2x TED-ED Speaker. I prefer sunny days, meaningful talks, humor, and lots of positive energy!

About EnRoute:
EnRoute has a mission to harness the power of small actions to make a change. It is a fully personalized free mobile application with a primary goal to reduce the number of CO2 emissions from our daily activities, but also to motivate and educate people to live a more eco-friendly life, rewarding them real-life prizes for every reduced gram of CO2. Motivated by the enormous air pollution in Skopje, North Macedonia, EnRoute helps us to make a shift from the belief that being eco-friendly is an expensive and exhausting commitment to saving CO2 emissions on the bus or train, in the shop, or even in your own home. EnRoute is a strong community of heroes, that unleashes the power of genZ in the fight with climate change. Didn’t you always want to be a superhero?

He has visited over 30 countries, including South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Joseph is motivated by historical figures such as Nelson Mandela and Thomas Sankara. He also loves literature, both from Africa (take Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart) and France (L'Étranger by Albert Camus). Artem Contributor Riyaaq Ahmed

Picture
I would like to focus on healthcare and possible solutions to overcome the adversities faced by many patients both young and old in the United States. I would also like to focus on how the youth can step up to eradicate these issues. I would primarily like to enact this through educational articles, however, I would also like to try podcasts and videos.

Artem Contributor For Thailand: Christopher Pinkos

Picture
Chris was a former Teacher Collaborator and Community Facilitator with Peace Corps Thailand. He decided to stay in his country of service to pursue a Master in Management at Chulalongkorn University. By staying in Thailand, he is able to expand on his past work. Previously in joining in the Peace Corps, he worked in China and has a dual degree from Bridgewater College and American University. He also studied abroad in South Korea twice. One time at Yonsei University and the other time at Korea University. As a Korean American, he was able to adjust to life in South Korea as well as other countries in Asia. His father’s experience in South Korea with the Peace Corps allowed him to prepare him for this work and study abroad. He is interested in working as a consultant particularly in economic and social development.

Former Artem Ambassador for the Philippines: Ian Adoremos

Ian Adoremos tries to combine his passion for poetry, philosophy, and philanthropy to spread the beauty of forgiveness and the power of compassion. After attending a school retreat in 2017, he has discovered the power of personal transformation and wishes to harness his talents to foster growth and potential in others. He is planning to start a school in the Philippines by 2021, and he is also planning to start various ad campaigns and short videos which intend to shed light on various disparities which many Filipinos face throughout the Philippines and how such disparities reveal the human story. His ultimate goal is to encourage others in pursuing their potential and, as I paraphrase Lincoln, becoming the “better angels of our nature”.

Glory Jones: Ambassador for Sports Content

Picture
Favorite Quote:
"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet."
Bob Marley

My name is Glory Jones and I'm Artem NexGen's Ambassador for Sports Content. I'm going to Loyola Marymount University in the Class of 2022 and I’m a sports enthusiast. I’ve played school and travel basketball since I was 7 years old, playing through two sprained ankles and a couple of back spasms; I've also ran track for 10 years. Playing these sports has taught me the value of toughness, commitment, persistence, and faith, skills that can be used out in the real world. Yet besides sports and God, I value many other things. I’m biracial, being a descendant of Scandinavian, Irish, and Jamaican descent. My heritage is a part of who I am and I will never deny it. I’m also a voracious reader and a huge history fanatic.
I believe individualism is something that society should cherish, and I look forward to taking on society’s obstacles in my own unique way.

Valeria is passionate about constantly improving herself and the community around her, so she enjoys challenging herself by learning new skills and expanding her creativity through painting and watching TEDx Talks. She also loves traveling and hopes to learn more about different cultures in the future.
